So, that design I mentioned before has finally gone live. Luckily enough, Betabrand thought was was good enough to make it pass the screening process, so now it's up to be voted for. After which, if it gets enough votes, it'll go to the crowd-funding stage and so on. I don't know the exact process yet, but it'll eventually go into production if everything goes well. You can swing by and submit your vote here:

And remember, though greatly inspired, this design is a totally original concept. It doesn't infringe on any copyright laws held by any party and is 100% of my own creation. Any similarities drawn to other properties are purely super-duper coincidental. Comprende? Thanks.

Hopefully if this one goes well it'll open up some possibilities to make more.
So, I don't like writing stuff like this - mainly because it just gives people a reason to complain about the way I talk and I'd rather not deal with that kind of feedback - but this may be of some importance to some of you, so I'm doing it. To all those that are just here to complain: Whatever. Leave. I don't know what to tell you.

First - I've made another page recently where I've been uploading all of my newest conceptual merchandise designs, hence why there hasn't been any activity from me on DA for a while. I wasn't going to give out the link at first, since I wanted it to be a private portfolio, but that would've also hindered by ability to get work. So, here it is:

seventhirtytwo.blogspot.com

Oh, and I removed the comment feature so the page could retain some level of decency. Enjoy it. Or don't. Who cares.

Second - After setting up the new page and coming up with new concepts to add to it, I remembered seeing an old message in my DA inbox about a certain site that allows designers to crowdfund a particular idea of theirs, and then if the idea gains enough votes or whatever it then goes into production for folks to buy. So, I looked into it a bit more and it seemed like a really easy thing to do, at least on my end.
I submitted one of my designs to them a few weeks ago and just recently got a reply saying that they're down for allowing it to be voted for. I'm not 100% on how the whole thing works yet, but I think that the idea first gets posted, people vote on it, then if it gets enough votes it goes to the crowdfunding stage, sort of like Kickstarter, after which if it does well they produce it.

There's still some back-and-forth I have to do with them, but it looks like one of these things will finally have a chance to be made real, and isn't that all you guys really care about?

So to finalize this - once everything's been sorted out and the aforementioned idea goes live for voting, I'll come back here and post a link for anyone that's interested. And if the whole thing ends up being a failure, then whatever. Doesn't hurt me at all.

That's it. I'll be in touch.
